CHARTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER

GEORGE MCNEIL BA (Hons), FPFS

As a Chartered Financial Planner, and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, I provide advice to individuals and business owners.

My areas of expertise include retirement planning, wealth accumulation, using tax allowances, protection, positioning your money efficiently, and Inheritance Tax considerations and strategies. I strive to develop long term relationships with my clients, providing an ongoing service and using cashflow modelling extensively to build robust and well understood plans.

I also work closely with Will writers, Accountants, and Solicitors. These are invaluable as true, holistic, financial planning needs a joined-up group approach to ensure that every strategy and consequence has been considered for my clients.

About Me

Following my graduation from the University of Leeds, I joined the financial services industry through a customer servicing role with Canada Life UK in early 2013. After a few years of learning the industry, gaining professional qualifications, and experience, I joined a financial advisory firm in October 2015 in a Paraplanning role.

I stayed with this firm for over 5 years gaining valuable IFA experience and achieving various professional qualifications culminating with passing the Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in 2019, gaining ‘Chartered’ status, and then attaining Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society in 2020.

I joined DGS Chartered Financial Planners in January 2021, initially as a Chartered Paraplanner before becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.
