PARAPLANNER

SHARON WHARTON

I began my career as a Paraplanner in 2000, just as the role was evolving. I believe that a Paraplanner can offer skills in addition to those of the adviser to provide the client with a positive, professional experience.

Since joining DGS in 2017 I have enjoyed being part of the important journey to help our clients achieve their goals and objectives, listening to both the client and the adviser to work in unison to fulfil their needs.

About Me

I started working in the Financial Services industry in 1988 as a tele-sales consultant with Norwich Union. I left in 2000 when the Company became Aviva, and significant changes were being made.

I then joined a local IFA to supporting two advisers which eventually grew to a team of nine advisers. During this time I decided to resume my studies and gained my Level 4 Diploma in Financial Advice.

After 16 years I left to explore new challenges and opportunities within a Chartered IFA practice, joining DGS in 2017.

Personal

Away from work I am mother to 2 boys, both of whom continue to play rugby at a Senior Level when not studying. Husband and I can be seen regularly on the side lines travelling and supporting them, together with our Miniature Dachshund, Pablo.

We love to take lots of walks with Pablo and I am also an avid Yoga and Meditation enthusiast, practicing at my local studio on a regular basis
